Mobile recording

I bring the room to you.

Studios are expensive and they make people nervous. So I pack the interfaces, the preamps, the mics and the treatment into the car and record you where you already sound like yourself. Audiobooks, sessions, live rooms, anywhere in New England.

What are we recording?

Voice

Audiobooks, narration, podcasts, voiceover. Treated space, clean takes, files edited and delivered ready to publish.

Music session

Vocals, guitars, keys, whatever fits through the door. Tracked properly, comped, and handed over as stems.

Live event

Shows, panels, readings, sermons. Multitrack off the desk plus room mics, so the mix is still fixable afterwards.

What turns up, and how far it comes.

Working out where you are.

What arrives

  • Interface, preamps and a mic locker that suits the source
  • Portable treatment, so a bedroom stops sounding like one
  • Headphones and a monitoring setup for you to work against
  • Backed up on site, twice, before I leave

Two hour minimum on every session. You get one number before we start and it does not move afterwards.

Travel

  • Under 20 miles
  • 20 to 60 miles
  • 60 to 100 miles
  • Over 100 miles

Measured from Providence. One flat fee for the day, not per trip, and it covers the gear coming with me. Over a hundred miles I would rather price it with you than guess.

I read these myself. Same day answer.

Nothing is charged here. I confirm first.

Got it.

I will come back to you today with a date and a number.
